Eugene Lunt

Eugene David Lunt Rock Springs - Eugene David Lunt, 75, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. He was born October 9, 1937 in Wausau, Marathon County, Wisconsin, the son of Ernest Lunt and Gladys Crotteau Lunt. He attended schools in Wausau, graduating high school with the class of 1956. He married Peggy Johnson Thornburg in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1975. He served in the National Guard in Wisconsin. He had worked for Pepsi in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Nebraska. He also worked as a roofer, floor tiler, and for many years as an ironworker and laborer in construction. His interests were sports, rug making, and ironing. Survivors include his wife Peggy Lunt; children Shawn, Shelly, James and Lisa; grandchildren Ashley and husband David, Amber and husband Chad, Jessie and husband Rick, Dawn and husband Gene, Morgan, Dolan, and Jaxson; 9 great-grandchildren; very good friends James, Mary, Jeremiah and Zach. He was preceded in death by his sister Maryann Briet, brothers Don, Howie, Ernest Jr., Clyde and Cliff. A viewing will be held 10 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, WY. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
