Abby Frances Eldridge Rock Springs - Abby Frances Eldridge, 15, of Rock Springs died Sunday July 24, 2011 at her home after a 12 year battle with diabetes.. She was born February 17, 1996 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Kenneth B. and Amanda N. Eldridge. She attended schools in Rock Springs and had completed 9th grade at Rock Springs High School. Her interests were swimming, reading, bowling, ice skating and hanging out with her friends. Survivors include her parents, Kenneth B. and Amanda N. Eldridge and her little brother Kody Eldridge all of Rock Springs; her Grammy Patricia Eldridge of Venice, Florida and her Grandma Margery S. Rickart of Casper. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Lynn MacGregor, Levant, ME; Marget & Richard Schultz, Grand Junction, CO; Mark & Terry Eldridge, Brew, ME; Martha & Scott Weischedel, Casper, WY; Spencer & Anna Rickart, Caldwell, ID; Verna Eldridge & Sharon Fuller, Veazie, ME, & Melodi & Fred Kalus, Beulah, ND; Her cousins: Bethany Harrington; Andrew & Steven Schultz; Adam & Natalie Eldridge; Jill & Justin Rollins; Sarah & Stuart Cooper; Katey, Derek & Erin Rickart. She was preceded in death by her Grampy Kenneth L. Eldridge and Granddad William Espy Rickart; along with her Aunt Rose-Ann Blake. "To all my friends & family please know I tried to overcome having diabetes, but it got the better of me. It was a day to day struggle for me to check my blood sugar & give the correct amount of insulin & deal with all the other stuff going on in my life. Now that I was going to start 10th grade I wanted to get an insulin pump to make life easier but even that seemed too far a goal to reach. My mom & dad did the best they could to help me understand that I could live a great life with diabetes. I wouldn't wish this disease on my worst enemy. Thank you for always being my friends no matter how rude I was to all of you. My friends Breanna, Caitlin, Jaden, Jeremy, Mary, Taylor, Tim Tom & most of all my obnozious little brother Kody & his friend Aaron." Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. August 15, 2011 at the Rock Springs Christian Church, 124 2nd St., Rock Springs.
