Alberta Mae Davis Rock Springs - Alberta Mae Davis, 90, died Saturday, March 29,2014 at Evanston Regional Hospital, Evanston, Wyoming after a brief illness. She was born October 4,1923 in Denver Colorado, the daughter of Chester Siddens and Alma Young Siddens. She grew up in Buena Vista, Colorado. She married Mern A. Pierce in 1940 in Buena Vista, Colorado. They had two children. Several years after the death of her first husband, she married Donald F. Davis in Salida Colorado in1974. In the early 80's, they moved to Rock Springs to be close to her children. Her interests were spending time with her family and grandchildren, watching the birds and chipmunks at the cabin, old car shows, crocheting, and doing crafts with friends. Survivors include by her daughter Merna Pierce and husband Mike LaRiviere of Denver Colorado; son Marion Pierce and wife Sandra of Lyman; granddaughters, Brenda Staten of Ogden, Utah, Amy Franzen and husband Rick of Rock Springs; grandson Michael Pierce and wife Felicia of Rock Springs; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Alma Siddens, first husband Merne A. Pierce, and second husband Donald F. Davis. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be conducted at 10am Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Inurnment will take place in the veterans section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
