Alice Clariece Ricks Christensen Green River - Alice Clariece Ricks Christensen, 84, of Green River died Friday, November 23, 2007 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho on September 23, 1923 to Owen Winford and Sadie Ina Jacobs Ricks. She was the oldest of six children. Alice married her sweetheart, Harold Lorentzen Christensen in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 15, 1948, over 59 years ago. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings over the years including teacher, Primary and Young Women’s President and Counselor. She and her husband served in the Sacramento California Mission field from June 1997 to December 1998. Her unwavering faith and trust in the Lord were evident by the life she lived. She was devoted to her family and served them unselfishly. She will be sorely missed by all who love her. Her interest were designing and making quilts for her children and grandchildren until she became too ill to continue. Survivors include her husband Harold Christensen of Green River: two sons, Harold Nephi Christensen and wife Barbara, Wade Christensen and wife Fran all of Green River; daughters, Patricia Reynolds of Syracuse, Utah, Debra Hiller and husband Karl of Centerville, Utah; sisters, Pearl Davenport and husband Myron, Dorothy Franck, Mona Frei and husband Ben; brother, Franklin Ricks; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna Butikofer, and son-in-law Cal Reynolds. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Green River LDS Stake Center, 120 Shoshone Ave., Green River. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 29th at the church and Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
