Alice Gail Smith Pacheco Eden - Alice Gail Smith Pacheco, 91, of Eden, died Tuesday September 27, 2011 at her residence in Eden. She had previously been a Green River resident for many years. She was born May 2, 1920 in Maple, Iowa, the daughter of Enoch Allen Smith and Blanche May Adkins Smith. She attended schools in Gravel Hill and St. Patrick, Missouri and graduated from St. Patrick High School with the class of 1935. She married Russell Orris Davis on January 5, 1937 in Kahoka, Missouri. They had 12 children together and were later divorced. He preceded her in death November 2, 1980. She married Oscar H. Steen on December 18, 1965 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1975. She then married Deffino Pacheco . He also preceded her in death on June 11, 1994. She was a member of the Green River Eagles and American Legion. She was a member of the Monroe Avenue Baptist Church in Green River. Alice lived on the farm for 27 years being a mother and homemaker to her 12 children. She had several home business including Blair Hosiery and McNess Spices. She had served as a school board member for 9 years at Clark County, Missouri District #76 when it was a one room school house. Her interests were gardening, flowers, embroidery, fishing, and being a homemaker. Survivors include her sons, Allen Orris David and Russell Edward Davis both of Green River, Robert Lee Davis Hoerrmann of Kirksville, Missouri, Casey Davis Moutray of Wamsutter; daughters, Reda Mae Davis Warren of Green River, Bessy Ellen Davis “Ginger” Warren of Richmond, Missouri, Alberta Louise Davis Reinerd of Sturgeon, Missouri, and Barbara Irene Davis Johnston of Walsenburg, Colorado, and “Kookie” Vickie Rhea Warren Paravicini of Eden; brother Jerry Lee Smith of Mexico, Missouri; sister Reda Duehr of Mesa, Arizona; 96 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Enoch and Blanche Smith, husbands Russell Davis, Oscar Steen and Deffino Pacheco, sons Dale Eugene and Donald Gale, daughter Nancy Lou Lynn Castelo, and sister Mary Martha. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Monroe Avenue Baptist Church, 295 Monroe Avenue, Green River.
