Rock Springs - Amy Nicole Solis, 36, of Rock Springs, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born September 6, 1973 in Levelland, Texas, the daughter of Robert A. Harbison and Roberta Hughes Ward. She attended schools in Brownfield, Texas and Rock Springs. She also attended Western Wyoming Community College for two years. She married James Shaw in 1992 in Rock Springs. He preceded her in death. She then married Jesus Solis on September 12, 1998 in Green River. She had been employed by John Paris Furniture in Rock Springs. Her interests were camping, playing dominos, doing activities with her children, spending time with friends, family and her dogs Walter and Sally, helping others and making a difference in their lives, and taking the less fortunate into her home to help them out.She had a heart of gold and was loved so very much by her friends and family. Survivors include her husband, Jesus Solis of Rock Springs; sons, Joshua Harbison and Skyler Shaw both of Rock Springs; daughter Rylee Isabella Solis of Rock Springs; mother, RobertaWard and husband Ken of Rock Springs; brothers, Stacy Harbison and wife Jennifer, and Kenny Ward and wife Stormie all of Rock Springs; sisters, Mary Ward of Rock Springs, and Kodi Ward of Cortez, Colorado; grandmother Phyliss Harbison of Brownfield, Texas; 4 aunts, 4 uncles, 22 plus cousins, 4 nieces and 3 nephews; and her dogs Walter and Sally. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Harbison, husband James Shaw, grandparents, Charlie & Betty Foster, grandfather Roy Harbison, cousin Charlie Foster III, several aunts, uncles and her soul companion dog “Doogie”. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Pastor John Ratcliff will officiate. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 and on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to Cowboys Against Cancer, 1893 Dewar Dr., Rock Springs, WY 82901
