Annette L. Haney, a resident of Rock Springs, WY, passed away early Tuesday, the 12th of July at her home at the age of 64.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Edward R. and Lenora R. (Krukenberg) Callen, and her sister, Susan Beesley. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Donald Haney of Rock Springs, two children: Preston (Lara) Hehr of Omaha, NE, and Chandra (Brian) Westerfield of Englewood, CO; three step-children: Suzann (Kevin Lucas) Haney of Bozeman, MT, Donald (Alyssa) Haney III of Idaho Springs, CO, and Jennifer Kennedy of Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren: Lochlan, Kyra, Koen, Ryker, Charlotte, Samantha, Hugh and Kyle; and two sisters: Janet Hursey of Platteville, CO, and Lennit Callen of Roy, UT.
Born on November 30, 1951 in Cheyenne, WY, Annette graduated from Central High School in 1970. In 1971, she moved to Green River, WY, where she lived for 16 years. In 1987, she moved to Rock Springs, WY, and married Donald Haney in 1989.
For 36 years, Annette was a loyal, dedicated employee of Optique 20/20. She was an avid enthusiast of quilting, sewing, gardening, camping and fishing. She loved Wyoming and she and her husband spent many weekends camping all over the state. She loved her family and spent long hours on the phone with her sisters and children, staying close despite the geographical distance.
No services will be held but a family and friends celebration will be planned to spread her ashes at one of her favorite camping spots.
