Arline Johnson Reliance - Arline Johnson, 73, of Reliance, died Thursday January 7, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. She was born March 14, 1936 in Black Hawk, Colorado, the daughter of Orville Orren Ingram and Audrey Mae Fairchild. She attended schools in Nederland, Colorado and graduated from Nederland High School with the class of 1953. She continued her education and received her LPN. Arline married Chuck Arthur Johnson on July 27, 1953 in Englewood, Colorado. There marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had been employed in the food service department of School District #1 until her retirement. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she taught Sunday School and Primary. Her interests were her family, taking care of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, genealogy, cooking, arts and crafts. Survivors include her husband, Chuck Johnson of Reliance; son David Johnson of Reliance; daughters, Judy Valentine and husband Gary of Rock Springs, Lee Ann Whalen and husband Ed of Orange Dale, California, and Jan Heavin of Evanston, Wyoming; brother, Gary Ingram and wife Shannon of San Mateo, California; six grandchildren, Melynda Luers and husband Bryan of Aurora, Colorado, Michele Kollmar and husband Ken of Midvale, Utah, Angela Walker of Reliance, Trey Doak and wife Emily of Denver, Melissa Valentine of Rock Springs, and Shannon Heavin and companion Adam Pond of Fort Collins; 4 great-grandchildren, Alissa Brady of Midvale, Utah, Luke Walker of Reliance, Dillon Dyer of Fort Collins, and Collin Luers of Aurora; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Rock Springs LDS Stake Center, 2055 Edgar, Rock Springs.
