August Chris Seyersdahl Green River- August Chris Seyersdahl, 81, of Green River died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River after a lengthy illness. He was born November 28, 1927 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado the son of August Chris and Sophia Augusta Ozik Seyersdahl. He Served in the US Army during World War II. He married Lila Mae Holladay on June 4, 1951 in Green River. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, VFW, American Legion, Odd Fellows, and also served as a scout master. His interests were hunting, fishing, and camping. Survivors include his wife, Lila Seyersdahl of Green River; sons David Seyersdahl and wife Patricia, Darrell Seyersdahl and wife Nancy, Dennis Seyersdahl, and Doyl Sayersdahl. all of Green River; daughter Diana Young and husband Darold of Springfield, Idaho; sisters Jeraldine Hobbs of Provo, Utah, Francis Brunson of Filmore, Utah, Lola Brown of Centerville, Utah, and Susie Whiteing of Mona, Utah; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Henry; father, mother, and step-father. sisters June Negeline, Mary Barney, & Emaline Hobbs. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Green River LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 1000 W. 400 N., Green River.
