Barbara Myrl Persinger
Rock Springs - Barbara Myrl Persinger, 71, of Rock Springs died March 5, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a sudden illness.
She was born December 17, 1943 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Andy Mike Tomich and Effie Marie Farmer Tomich. She attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1961.
She worked for many years as a private health care provider.
She married Gary Wayne Persinger January 4, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Her interests were watching football and The Voice, attending farmers market, playing bingo, Elvis Presley, being a care giver, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband Gary Persinger of Rock Springs; children Andrew Tolar, Michele Tolar, Renee Muniz and husband Donald, Rich Tolar and wife Rena, and Josh Tolar; step-children Debbie Persinger, Gary Persinger Jr., Christy Marquez, Julie Erickson and husband Tim, and Johnny Persinger; sisters Susan Sweets and husband Mark, Linda McMurry and husband Ron; brother-in-law James Ditton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Effie Tomich; brother Jimmy Tomich; sisters Rosemary Ditton and Terry Freeze; nephew James Ditton.
Cremation will take place a Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Rev. Glen Szczechowski will officiate.
Inurnment will follow in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
