Bari Lynn Sines 1944- 2021 Bari Lynn Sines, 76, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, at her home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Thanks to hospice, family and friends, she was well taken care of during her last days.
Bari was born Oct. 7, 1944, in Rock Springs. She lived most of her life in Rock Springs and spent nearly 50 years running Tynsky's Rock Shop. An excellent gold- and silversmith, Bari created one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Her knowledge of geology, rocks and fossils was superb, and she was happy to share her wisdom with anyone who dropped by with questions.
In addition to the rock shop, Bari worked for the Rocket Miner newspaper from 2006 to 2019. She helped run the inserting machine, manage carriers and cover paper routes.
Bari had many passions. She loved all animals and gave her time and energy helping care for them. She and Pam Haynes spent many hours driving dogs and cats to animal rescues to give them a greater chance of being adopted. She loved the outdoors and took any chance she had to go rock hunting or hiking in the desert. Bari loved music - especially Freddie Mercury/Queen, Neil Diamond, and classical music.
Bari is survived by her partner Pam; "adopted" kids David Haynes, Ashley Haynes and Jefferson Haynes; grandkids Danica Haynes and River Haynes; brother and sister-in-law Marvin and Frances Sines of Mississippi; nieces Marva Becker, Marilyn Meek and Maureen Sines; nephew Don Babel Jr. and wife Julie Babel; great-nephew Ben Babel and wife Tammy Babel; and many dear friends, cats and chinchillas.
Bari was preceded in death by her parents William and Leone Sines; sisters Betty Babel and Sandra Sines; and Ben Babel's mom Debbie Babel.
To honor Bari's wishes, there will be no services.
Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Sweetwater County, Small Town Community Cats, or Second Chance to Dance Dachshund Rescue.
