Bessie Clark

Bessie C. Clark Rock Springs - Bessie C. Clark, 93, of Green River died August 22, 2010 at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 11, 1916 in Lyman, Wyoming the daughter of David D. and Electa L. Porter Carter. Her parents died when she was very young and she was raised by her older sister Erma and husband Harold Muslander of Lyman. She married John E "Bunny" Clark on April 3 1938 in Coalville, Utah. While living in Coalville, they had two children and later moved to Green River in 1948. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a homemaker and her interests included reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughter Georgia C. Larrabaster and husband John M. of Rock Springs; granddaughters Lisa Cook and husband Lennie of Green River, and Lynda Smialek and husband Lyle of Roggen, Colorado; great-grandchildren Kayla, Abagail and Jacob Cook, and Shandon Welsh all of Green River, Emily and Max Smialek of Roggen; sister-in-law Charlote Simister and husband Ray of Coalville; sister-in-law Maxine Clark of Draper, Utah; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John E. "Bunny" Clark, son John D. Clark, three brother, and seven sisters. Friends may call 7:00-8:00 p.m. Friday August 27, 2010 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Graveside services and interment will take place at 12:00 noon Saturday, August 28, 2010, in the Coalville Cemetery, Coalville Utah.
