Rock Springs - Betina “Betty” Rita Dye, 57, of Rock Springs, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born September 4, 1950 in Hudson, Wyoming, the daughter of Prax and Betina Garcia. She attended schools in Rock Springs graduating with the class of 1969. Betty was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Rock Springs. Her interests included spending time with her family and adding to her Betty Boop collection. Survivors include her two sons, Michael Paul Dye and wife Tannya and David Lee Dye all of Rock Springs; brothers, Richard Martinez and Marvin Campbell both of Colorado; sisters, Percilla Rivera of Rock Springs, Alice Sanchez and Violet Lopez; four grandchildren, Michael Dye, Shawn Dye, Heather Norman and Byron Lincoln; several nieces and nephews; her close friends, Cynthia Hernandez, Viola Garcia and Pam Harsh. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Grace Baptist Church, 100 Willow, Rock Springs. Pastor Ron Van Hee will officiate. Friends may call 6-8 pm Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
