Our dear mother and grandmother, Betty Jean Little, 86, of Rock Springs, Wyoming was called home on January 6, 2022 following an accidental injury. She passed away surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 11, 1935 in Anton, Colorado, the daughter of Harlow and Alma Colpitts, she spent her childhood on her family's farm near Cope, Colorado as one of eight children. She attended K-12 schools in Cope, graduating from Cope High School in 1952. She attended Central Business College in Denver in 1953 where she received a post-graduate Business Degree. She married Kenneth (Red) Felderman, June 5, 1954 in Greeley, Colorado, with whom she had three children. They moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1960 and divorced shortly thereafter. Betty was remarried to John G. Little in Evanston, Wyoming on July 20, 1963 and they remained together until John's passing in 2014. During her child-raising years, Betty was employed in banking, medical, sales and service positions at various businesses in Rock Springs.
Her life-interests included traveling, spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, listening to music, playing bingo, and keeping up with current events. She had an amazing memory and loved to enlighten her loved ones with total recall. She loved her dogs, Buddy, Obi, and Spotty, and was happiest when sharing time and conversation with her family members and friends.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Vicki Hardin and husband George of Rock Springs, sons, Steve Felderman of Denver, Co. and Kent Felderman and companion, Jennie Melvin of Rock Springs, seven grandchildren; Jason, Travis, Brianne, Cortney, Jesse, Kassidi, and Rachel, 12 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband John Little, her mother and father, seven siblings; Floyd, Leonard, Gerald, Loren, Joyce, Sharon, and Patti, and grandson Brandon Felderman.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 11 at Bunning Park, followed by interment at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery,
