Betty Rose Price

Betty Rose Price Green River - Heavenly Father welcomed home, with loving arms, Betty Rose Portela Price on the 20th of October, 2008. Betty Rose was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose greatest joy was sharing herself unselfishly with her family. She was born October 9, 1932 in Afton, Wyoming the daughter of Augustan and Lavinia Norris Portela. She attended schools in Montpelier and graduated from Montpelier High School with the class of 1951. Betty Rose married Ronald W. Price on the 2nd of August, 1951, in Pocatello, Idaho, later solemnizing their marriage in the Logan Temple on the 21st of may, 1971. The loves of Betty Rose's life were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She crocheted and cross-stitched treasures for them, which included blessing outfits, shawls, and dolls for her 14 grandchildren, and 26 great grand children. She also enjoyed sharing her expertise in boating, fishing, camping, and swimming with her family and friends. Betty Rose is survived by her husband, Ronald W. Price, 2 daughters; Ricki Jean Allen and husband Kenneth, Rhonda Butcher and husband Michael; 2 sons Allen Price and wife Caren and Roger Price; one brother, Doyle Portela and wife Helen, 14 grand children, and 26 great grand-children. Betty Rose will be greatly missed and we look forward to being with her again. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the Green River LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 1000 W 400 N, Green River. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday October 22, 2008 at the church and also one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Interment will take place at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday in the Montpelier Cemetery, Montpelier, Idaho. Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs, funeral directors.
