Betty Rae Christensen Tinker Washam - Betty Rae Christensen Tinker, 63, our sweet and beautiful Mom was called home on Tuesday, February 25,2014 in Washam. She was born October 13, 1950 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Dixon Nebeker Christensen and Florence LaRue Schofield Christensen. She attended schools in Manila and graduated from Manila High School with the class of 1968. She also attended Hollywood Beauty College in Logan, Utah. She met her sweetheart, best friend, love of her life Glen Tinker, and were sealed to each other for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on July 31,1969. She had worked for the Daggett School District as a teacher's aide for many years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a righteous, faithful daughter of our heavenly father. She loved doing service for others in her own quiet way. She had a beautiful soul. She raised their children the best way they knew how, with love of family and the love of god. Betty(mom) was a very special woman. She always knew how to make everyone feel loved. She touched a lot of people's lives. She was a great example to everyone of how to love one another, no matter who they were. Her children and her grandchildren were her life. She was very proud of each one of them. They were her pride and joy! Survivors include her husband Glen F. Tinker of Washam; parents Dixon and Florence Christensen, Douglas, Wyoming; sons Travis Tinker and wife Kathleen of Rochester, New York, and Brandon Tinker and wife Brynn of Washam; daughters Glenna Walk and husband Cory and Jeanette Tinker all of Lehi, Utah, and Kristen Garcia and husband Ronald of Riverton, Utah; brothers Grant Christensen and wife Johnne of Rock Springs, and Bruce Christensen of Lyman; sister Shelly Creaser and husband Jim of Douglas; seven grandchildren C.J., Cameron, Cheyenne, Joshua, Nathan, Emma, and James; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by sister Donell Pechacek and granddaughter Roxy Garcia. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Manila LDS Ward Chapel, Manila, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place in the Manila Cemetery, Manila, Utah.
