Beverly Jean Ruliffson Jensen
Green River- Beverly Jean Ruliffson Jensen, 56, of Green River died Saturday, September 18, 2010 after a brief, but courageous battle with melanoma cancer.
She was born October 16, 1953 in Glendale, California, the daughter of Donald Wilson Ruliffson and Carolyn S. Ruliffson.
She attended schools in Burbank California and graduated from Burbank High School with the class of 1971.
She was married on February 2, 1974 in Burbank and lived in San Diego while her husband served in the US Navy. After her husband was discharged from the military, they moved to Utah and then made their home in Green River in 1986. They were later divorced. She was the proud and loving mother of five children.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served with the youth and held various leadership positions in the church. She was well known for her service in the Boy Scouts of America.
Her greatest years were spent as a homemaker and mother to her five children. Bev's support, charisma, love, and example were a primary inspiration for her three sons to each earn their Eagle Scout awards, serve honorable full time missions for the LDS Church, and earn college degrees. She also instilled her example of lifelong love and service to her daughter, who stays home and cares for her own children and serves diligently in her Church. Bev's children were her life; she was always proud of their accomplishments and was always willing to talk about them.
She is survived by her children, Paul Jensen Jr. and wife Melanie of Denver, CO, Nathan D. Jensen and wife Amy of St. Anthony, ID, Christine Smith and husband Brock of Green River, Brian Jensen and wife Heather of Rexburg, ID; grandchildren, Carson, Garratt, Hayden, Dallin, and Haley.
