Bill Greatorex Green River - Bill Greatorex, 82, of Green River died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born August 19, 1929 in Walla Walla, Washington, the son of Willard Greatorex and Lillie Welch Greatorex. He married Bette Beverly Mole. She preceded him in death. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy. He was employed as a marine electrician for the US government until his retirement at the age of 55. He was a member of the Green River Eagles. His interests were fishing and gardening. Survivors include his son David Jones of Green River; daughter Susan Bell and husband Randy of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers Dick Greatorex of Longview, Washington, and Bud Greatorex of Tacoma; grandchildren, Matt, Ben, Kamee, Lexi and Candon. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Green River Fraternal Order of Eagles, 88 N. 2nd E, Green River, Wyoming.
