Burton Lee Anderson
Green River, WY - Burton Lee Anderson, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Green River, Wyoming after a short illness.
He was born September 29, 1934 in Virginia, Minnesota, the son of Caryle and Fern Gunderson Anderson. He was a long time Virginia resident.
He worked as a truck driver, equipment operator, and all around handyman. He worked for Reserve Mining Company in Babbitt, Minnesota for 22 years.
Burt enjoyed family, friends, traveling, camping and casinos. He finally settled down in Pahrump, Nevada, where he and his wife Diana enjoyed the warm weather.
Survivors include his daughters Cheryl (Jonathan) DeBeltz of Green River and Terri (Leo) Shea of Gilbert, Minnesota; sister Bonnie Devescovi of Mountain Iron, Minnesota; brother Sheldon Anderson and half-brother Arthur “Butchie” Nesbitt of Virginia, Minnesota; three granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burt was preceded in death by his parents, wife Diana Anderson, son Leonard Anderson, and brother Gary Anderson.
Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
Per Burt’s wishes, no services will be held.
