Carol Brown

Rock Springs - Carol Jean Brown, 63, of Rock Springs passed away Sunday, October 1, 2006 at her home. She was born April 8, 1943 in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Daniel T. and Mildred Louise Haynes Bailey. She attended schools in Fremont California and graduated from Washington High School in Fremont with the class of 1959. She married John Patrick O’Brien in 1959. They were later divorced. She married Avery F. “Buck” Brown in 1974. He preceded her death in 1986. Carol was employed in motel management for many years. Her interests included rock hunting, her grandchildren, and studying the American Indian culture. Survivors include one son Steve O’Brien of Rock Springs; daughter, Kelly O’Brien Fantin and husband Richard of Rock Springs; mother, Louise Bailey of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers, Daniel Bailey and wife Mary of Louisville, Kentucky, and Thomas Bailey and wife Cris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren, George, Senica, Danielle, Tara, and April Moore, Thomas O’Brien, McKenna McVicker, and Avery O’Brien, all of Rock Springs; three great grandchildren, Ashtin and Kamryn Moore and Wesly Anastos; special friends, Donna Schmidt, Cindy Howe, and staff of Rocky Mountain Home Care. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel and husband Avery. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory.
