Carol Ann Campbell Green River - Carol Ann Campbell, 70, of Green River died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at her residence after a short illness. She was a long time resident of Green River. She was born December 20, 1940 in Laurel, Montana, the daughter of Henry Frank and Helen Sitzman Frank. She attended schools in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School with the class of 1958.. She married Carl Monroe Campbell June 19, 1960 in Telluride, Colorado. Carol was employed as a teachers aide with Sweetwater School District #2 for 6 years. She was an active member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Green River. Her interests included spending time traveling with her husband of 51 years, camping, and later traveling in their motor home, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Carl Campbell of Green River; daughter, Corine Schramke and husband Rich of Ellicott City, Maryland, Kelly Kodra of Northglenn, Colorado, Kimberly Stroud and husband Jerry of Rock Springs, and Kathy Peterson and husband Troy of Westminster, Colorado; brother Philip Frank of Billings, Montana; sister Dorothy Dougall of Goodyear, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Donald Frank. Cremation will take place at Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 901 Trona Drive, Green River. Pastor James Martin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Cowboys Against Cancer, 1893 Dewar Dr., Rock Springs, WY, 82901.
