Green River - Carol Ann Hollopeter, 56, of Green River, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. She was born May 17, 1951 in Gonzales, Texas, the daughter of William Harvey Wesley Keeton and Billie Jean Ward Keeton. She attended schools in California and graduated from Carpenteria High School with the class of 1970. She married Otto Lawrence Hollopeter on February 3, 1973 in Carpenteria, California. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Green River. Her interests were playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Otto Hollopeter of Green River; son, Chris Hollopeter and wife Beth of Evanston; daughter Melissa Chaouqi and husband Driss of Denver, CO; brothers, William Keeton and wife Cecilia of California, Richard Keeton and wife Sheree of Salt Lake City, and Steve Keeton and wife Mona of Elko, Nevada; sisters, Kathy Provence and husband David of Chugwater, WY, Janet Jenkins and husband Ron of Duchesne, UT, and Terri Larive and husband John of Mountain View; 5 grandchildren, Kamber and Abdurahman Chaouqi, Briana, Keegan, and Jordan Hollopeter; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kelly Jean Hollopeter, and aunt Pauline Verduzco. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Church of Christ, 605 Clark, Green River, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
