Charles “Sonny” Fredrick Campbell Rock Springs - Charles “Sonny” Fredrick Campbell, 69, of Rock Springs died Monday, May 5, 2014 at his home. He was born April 12, 1945 in Superior, Wyoming, the son of Carl John Campbell and Anna Mae Maring Campbell. He married Sandra Lee Welsh July 23, 1966 in Rock Springs. He was employed by Solvay Minerals for 11 years retiring in 2010. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Rock Springs. Survivors include his wife Sandra Lee Campbell of Rock Springs; son Ricky Campbell of Rock Springs; daughters Rebecca Peden, Shannon Gomez and husband Luis, and Shelly Pauli and fiancé Luke Wood all of Rock Springs; brother Vernon Campbell of Terre Haute, Indiana; sister Ruth Gilman and husband Dave of Rock Springs; 10 grandchildren, Derrick, Nicole, Ashley Peden, Misty & Joe Bishop, Cassondra & Ryan Gomez, Adrian Islas, Austin & Autumn Pauli; four great-grandchildren, Donte Islas, Braxton, Aleighcia & Chabree Bishop; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Mae Campbell, mother-in-law and father-in-law Dean and Shirley Welsh, brothers Hubert & John Campbell, sister Ruby Tims, son-in-law DeWayne Peden, and brother-in-law Robert Welsh. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the United Pentecostal Church, 3716 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs. The family will be receiving friends at 280 Sonata Lane, Rock Springs.
