Rock Spring – Charles “Bud” Copp, 64, of Rock Springs died suddenly January 19, 2006 working at the job he loved.. Charles was born January 25, 1941 in Casper, Wyoming the son of Albert “Tiny” Raymond and Bernadine Alice Baney Copp. He married Nancy Lee Garrett on December 7, 1970 in Rapid City, South Dakota. He lived in Gillette, Wyoming for 28 years and he moved to Rock Springs 10 years ago with his wife Nancy, where he worked for Hemphill Trucking. He loved his family and was especially close to his grandson Jonah who was the light of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Nancy Copp of Rock Springs; 6 children, Kathy Elwood and husband Jim of Redding, California, Susan Andrews and husband Jim, Jeffrey Garrett and wife Shelley, Jean Anderson and husband Terry all of Gillette, Wyoming, Jerry Copp and wife Tina of Billings, Montana, and Charles “Chip” Copp and fiancé Teresa Walls of Rock Springs; sister, Norma Jean Cain of Glenrock, Wyoming; brother, Robert Copp of Buffalo, Wyoming; and 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Danny, Michael, Haylee, Jessica, and Jonah. He was preceded in death by his parents “Tiny” and Bernadine Copp, 3 sisters, Delores Mondle, Helen Mondle, and Janet Gieke, and brother Kenny Copp. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
