Charles Kirts Rock Springs - Charles Kirts, 54, of Rock Springs died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at his home following a short illness. He was born December 4, 1954 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of William and Katie McCormick Kirts. He attended schools in Lafayette and graduated from high school with the class of 1972. Charles married Libby McDaniel on April 10, 1990 in Rock Springs. He had been worked as a mechanic for 30 years and had been employed by 1st Choice Ford. His interests were his family and friends, hunting, water sports, golf and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Libby Kirts of Rock Springs; son, Chris Kirts and fiancé Ashley of Rock Springs; daughter, Shelley Irwin and husband Chuck of Rock Springs; brother, Velvet Kirts of Rock Springs; sisters, Vicki Zidar and husband Tom and Sue Davis all of Tucson, Arizona; mother, Katie Kirts of Tucson; mother-in-law, Helen Brotten and husband Will of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Jadyn and Hannah Irwin, River and Aspen Kirts; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Kirts, grandparents, Gus & Eunice Kirts, and father-in-law George McDaniel. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday December 12, 2008 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Private family graveside service and inurnment will take place at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Cowboys Against Cancer, 1893 Dewar Dr., Rock Springs, WY 82901
