Cheryl Suezanne Mendez Rock Springs- Cheryl Suezanne Mendez,(always daddy’s girl) 59, of Rock Springs, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her home. She was born August 12,1955 in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri, the daughter of James Walter Hartley and Ardice Ann Pierson Hartley. She attended schools in San Francisco and graduated from high school in 1971. Her interests were camping, reading, avid San Francisco 49ers fan, and spending time with family. Survivors include her son Roy Robert Marez of Fresno, California; daughter Jenny Suezette Chalifoux and husband Christian of Visalia, California; brothers Randall Jerome Tummel and wife Rachel of Rock Springs, Fredrick Earl Stebbins and wife Marilyn, of Toledo, Ohio, Richard Joseph Tummel and wife Lauretta of Lima, Ohio, Ronnie Eugene Tummel and wife Beth of Lima, Ohio, Robert Edmund Tummel and wife Jada of Elmore, Ohio, and Melvin Lee Davis and wife Donna of Santa Clara, California; sister Becquelyn Suezelle McClure and husband Mark of Lima; 5 grandchildren Garrett Michael Chalifoux, Saranna Lily Chalifoux, Joseph LeRoy, Forrest Allen, and Annabell Craicella Mendoza; 2 great-grandchildren Jackson and Jemma LeRoy; aunt Sue Simmons of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings. A viewing will be held 5-7 pm Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory. Private family memorial services will be held.
