Cheryl Lynn Olson Rock Springs - Cheryl Lynn Olson, 55, of Rock Springs died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. She was born November 29, 1956 in Viroqua, Wisconsin, the daughter of Kenneth Olson and Lois Larson Olson. She attended schools and graduated from high school with the class of 1974 in Wisconsin. She continued her education and received an associates degree in liberal arts. She married Russel Clayton July 4, 1987 in Madison, Wisconsin. They were later divorced. Her interests were cooking, music, reading, studying history, and spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include her son Darren Olson of Rock Springs; daughters Natasha Clayton and Alexis Olson both of Rock Springs; brothers Rodney Olson and Mike Olson both of Wisconsin; sisters Linda Helgerson, Susan Reismann and Sandy Olson all of Wisconsin; grandsons Matthew and Anthony Olson of Rock Springs; close friends Laura Ambrose, Theresa Chenoweth, and Marie Pacheco all of Rock Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lois Olson, and one son Traymaine Clayton. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Private memorial services will be held.
