Chester James Carter
Green River – Chester James Carter, 88 of Green River, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Sage View Care Center, Rock Springs.
He was born November 22, 1922 in Berryville, Arkansas the son of Crawford Carter and Rose Davis Carter.
He married Isabelle Malinda Morison on September 22, 1951 in Green River, Wyoming.
Chester was employed by Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years retiring in 1984.
His interests were working on cars, watching NASCAR, hunting, fishing, camping, and above all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Isabelle Malinda Carter of Green River; four daughters LeAnna Bunderman and husband Clarence of Green River, Martha Carter of Rock Springs, Barbara Carter of Duson, Louisiana, Donna Morrison of Green River; five sons Larry Carter and wife Mona of Anchorage, Alaska, Mark Carter and wife Joan of Green River, Jim Carter and wife Jan of Rock Springs, Eddie Carter and wife Kathy of Carter, Wyoming; brother Lewis Carter of Colorado; sister Pauline Carter of Eugene, Oregon; sister-in-law Oleta Carter of Arkansas, Dorothy Roushar of Colorado, Edna Musbach of Utah ; 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son David Carter.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Green River LDS 1st & 3rd Ward Chapel, 1000 W 4th North, Green River. Friends may call 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 at the church and also one hour prior to the services Tuesday.
Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
