ROCK SPRINGS -- Danny Emanuel Sinner, 67, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, in Spanish Fork, Utah at the Spanish Fork Nursing and Rehab Center. He was a longtime Rock Springs resident.
He was born March 3, 1948, in Riverton, a son of Donna L. (Hart) and Emanuel Lawrence "Jerry" Sinner. He was raised in Worland, where he graduated from high school in 1967. He attended Casper College for one year before joining the U.S. Navy, where he served for four years.
He had worked for Gas Hill Uranium at Riverton before going to work as a trona miner for 29 years at the General Chemical soda ash mine and plant near Rock Springs. He was a member of the UMW and the Elks Lodge and American Legion in Worland.
He had married Patricia Gaughan on Oct. 2, 1974, in Casper. She died Oct. 6, 2000.
His interests included traveling to San Diego, California, and Jackson Hole and his dog, Teddy.
He is survived by his daughter Laurie Ann Mathews of Tucker, Georgia; mother Donna Bertagnolli of Rock Springs; brother Steve Sinner of South Jordan, Utah; and sister Susan (Jerry) Bucholz of Cody.
He was preceded in death by his father; wife Patricia Mathews; stepfather George E. Bertagnolli; and his grandparents.
Cremation will take place. No funeral services are planned. His cremains will be buried in Riverview Cemetery in Worland.
