David Gene Maestas

David Gene Maestas Las Vegas - David Gene Maestas, 49, of Las Vegas, died at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas. He was born March 2, 1959, the son of Thomas T. Maestas and Laura M. Maestas. He grew up in Reliance. He graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1978 and was a wrestler. During his high school years he worked at Celebrity Chevron. He married Sharon Divengenzo. They lived in Green River and had one son, David Gene Maestas Jr. The were later divorced. He worked for General Chemical. He moved to Las Vegas where he worked several jobs. His interests included wrestling, sports cars and friends and family. Survivors include his son David Maestas Jr.; four brothers, Paul Maestas and wife Cindy of Rock Springs, Arthur Maestas and wife Susan of Green River, Floyd Maestas of Reliance and Lawrence Maestas and wife Kelly of Coon Valley, Wis.; sister, Gloria Masters and husband Bill of Rock Springs; uncles, Ray Maestas and wife Rose of Superior and Louie Carrillo and Billie of Reliance; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, brothers Jr., Patrick and Danny, sister Mary Ann Maestas and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Restoration Ministries , 518 Elk St., Rock Springs. Brother Arthur Maestas and Pastor Gene Emerson will conduct the services. Inurnment will follow at the Paul J. Wataha section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Following there will be refreshments and fellowship at Restoration Ministries.
