Dean R. Forman

Evanston, WY - Dean R. Forman, 83, of Evanston, died February 14, 2007 in the Evanston Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born March 24, 1924 in Heber City, Utah, the son of Leonard and Aletha Pyper Forman. Dean attended schools in Carter and Mountain View, Wyoming. He married Laura Limb on December 10, 1943 in Evanston . He worked for the UP Railroad and drove truck for Heward Transfer. He also had been employed with the Evanston Police Department and retired in 1998 after 20 years of service. He helped start the Evanston Police Benevolent Association. He was a member and past president of the Evanston Lions Club and served on the fishing derby committee for 11 years. He also helped with the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon. He was co-founder of the Uinta County Search & Rescue and was their first EMT. Survivors include his wife, Laura Forman of Evanston; two sons, Carl D. Forman of Evanston and Jim Forman and wife Suzanne of Scotts Mills, Oregon; two daughters, DeeAnn Fowler and husband Joe and Norma Langford and husband Vern, all of Evanston; one brother, Virgil Forman of Evanston; adopted son, Tom Dunlavey of Evanston; 54 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parent, four brothers and two grandsons. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Beeman Cashin Building #35, Tenth Street in Evanston. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Evanston Police Benevolent Association at 1148 Front Street, Evanston, WY 82930.
