ROCK SPRINGS -- Debby Adkison, 61, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, with her family at her side at the Promise Hospital in Salt Lake City.
She was born April 4, 1953, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Neil Braithwaite and Edna Johnson Braithwaite. She attended schools in Ogden.
She married Wayne D. Adkison on July 5, 1974, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Rock Springs.
Her interests were spending time with her family and friends, crocheting and reading. She was one of the original servers of the Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen since 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Adkison, of Rock Springs; sons Adam Adkison of Somerville, Massachusetts, William Adkison and wife, Alicia, Joshua Adkison and wife, Jessi, and Luke Adkison all of Rock Springs; sisters Valerie Dwyer of Toledo, Washington, and Heidi Lee of Shreveport, Louisiana; brother John Alban of Rock Springs; and six grandchildren Marisa, Ashton, Eilana, McKayla, Kylie and Rusty.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Doug. A Braithwaite.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 527 C St., Rock Springs.
