Delmar Dean Warren
Delmar Dean Warren of 540 Logan Street, Green River, Wyoming passed away at 11:05 p.m. August 14, 2005 at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mr. Warren was born in Clark County Missouri on March 16, 1935. He lived in Wyoming for 60 years. Before that he lived in Missouri. His father’s name was Jack Edwin Warren and Mother’s name was Beulah Huett Warren. He attended school in Rawlins, WY until 1953, and finished Jr. and Sr. High year in Kahoka, Missouri.
He married Reda Mae Davis on November 7, 1954 in Kahoka, Missouri. He worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road from 1954 to 1995, retiring in 1995 after 40 years with UPRR. He was a volunteer in the community and helped to build 2 churches and a parsonage in Rawlins, WY. He also served on the Junior Old Timers for the Railroad, and was vice-president, president, and past president of the Old Timers. He served on the credit union board for 15 years. He was also in the National Guard for 8 years while in Rawlins and coached pee wee baseball for 4 years. He was a member of Monroe Avenue Baptist Church in Green River, Wyoming.
Survivors include his wife Reda of Green River, sons Bruce Warren and wife Marilynn of Rock Springs; and Curtis Warren and wife Rhonda of LaBarge; one daughter Alyse Russell of Clearwater, Florida; two brothers Edward Lee Warren and wife Judy of Rawlins; Gray Warren of Seattle, Washington. Grandchildren include Aaron Kyle Simmons of Green River’; Eric & Samantha Smith Simmons of Seattle, Washington; Christian Laxkowski of Clearwater, Florida; Margo & Ray Daniels of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Mitchell Ewart, Tracy Warren and Julaire Warren of Rock Springs. Rhandy, Sharrie, Shawyna, and Caristel Johnson; and Jeremyha Warren of LaBarge, Wyoming. Also eleven great-grandchildren, Skylar and Evelyn Ewart also of Rock Springs Aaron Kyle Jr., Breahna & Miya of Green River; Rylan, Chayse, Breahna & Hayden Simmons of Seattle, Washington; Gary & Victoria Daniels of Ft. Collins.
Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his father, Jack Warren, his Mother Beulah Huett Warren, two sisters Lois Patterson and Luella Bowman, one brother Dale E. Warren and two grandsons Richard and Steven Simmons.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005 at the Monroe Avenue Baptist Church, 295 Monroe Avenue in Green River, Wyoming with luncheon to follow. Rev. George T. Harrivel officiating.
