Derrick Byron Walsh

Derrick Byron Walsh, 68, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

He was born on July 2, 1953 in Bennington, Vermont; the son of Earl Joseph Walsh and Mary Sophia Ennis.
Derrick graduated from Arlington High School with the class of 1972.
He worked as a sheet metal specialist for Vaughn’s Plumbing and Heating.
Derrick was an Air Force and Navy veteran, serving in the Cold War.
He loved bowling, geology, painting portraits on canvas, reading, and animals.
Survivors include his life partner MaryAnn Taylor of Rock Springs; son Travis Walsh of Casper, WY; sisters Karen Arrietta Morrison, Constance Lee Curtis, Linda Marlene Walsh, Teresa Ann Walsh, Jema Sue Poro; grandchildren Jacob Walsh, Elizabeth Walsh, Ryan Reno, and Kim Reno.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Ennis, father Earl Walsh, brother Dennis Brian Walsh, and sister Tina Maria Walsh.
Cremation will take place and a graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date.
