Dolores 'Dee' Cervantes

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah -- Dolores "Dee" Cervantes, 72, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, in West Valley City, Utah. She was a longtime resident of Rock Springs and Mesquite, Nev. She was born June 3, 1940, in Raton, N.M. She was a volunteer with Holy Spirit Catholic Community Loaves and Fishes Kitchen and a benefactor of various other organizations. She is survived by her children, John Jr. of Mesquite, Frank of Rock Springs, Mary Ann of Salt Lake City, Mike of Hollister, Calif., Jeannie of Rock Springs and Chris of Denver; sisters, Maria of Evanston and Patricia of Rock Springs; grandchildren, John, Jason and Angie, all of Minnesota, Mikey, David, Jeff, Jake and Jensen, all of Rock Springs, and Tim of California; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose; mother, Ninfa; and husband, John. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way in Rock Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Rock Springs.
