Donald Albert Baker
Superior - Donald Albert Baker, 68, former resident of Superior, died Tuesday, February17, 2015 at the Kindred Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Rawlins.
He was born January 17, 1947 in Murdo, South Dakota, the son of Donald O. Baker and Mildred Jackson Baker. He attended schools in Superior and Rock Springs, and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1965.
He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad for about 30 years.
He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion, Archie Hay post 24.
His interests were playing Bingo, trains, and spending time with friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons Donald Baker and wife Stacy of Mountain View Wyoming, James Baker and wife Lydia of Williston, North Dakota; stepsons Jeremy Boan and Jonathan Boan both of Mountain View; daughter Kendra Baker and fiancé Nick Banner of Rock Springs; brother Edward James Petera of Denver, Colorado; sister Sharon Lee Baker of San Pablo, California; grandchildren Desa Baker, Jaysia Baker, Jayce Baker, Tyson Roberts, Kadee Roberts, Isaiah Baker and Maritza Perez; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Mildred Baker; brothers David Baker, John Allen “Pete” Baker; sister Patricia Baker.
Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
Memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm. Tuesday, February 24,2015 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Pastor Dave Gilman will officiate.
Inurnment with military honors will follow in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
