Dorothy Cordova

Dorothy Cordova Rock Springs - Dorothy Cordova, 90, of Rock Springs died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 16, 1922 in Ely, Nevada, the daughter of Joe and Julia Drakulich. She was married to Elmer Cordova in Green River 52 years ago. She was a member of the Eagles Fraternal Order No. 151 in Rock Springs, and the Wyoming State Softball Hall of Fame. She was also a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Her interests were bowling, playing slot machines and bingo. Survivors include her husband Elmer Cordova of Rock Springs; daughters Gloria Arguello of Denver, Carolyn Cudney of Ogden, Utah, Shirley Mathiott of Rock Springs, and Rose Georgis of Rock Springs; brother Duchy Drakulich of Reno, Nevada; sister Jennie Yelland of Sparks, Nevada; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren including Karston Searle; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Eddie Garcia. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. At her request, no services will be held.
