Poulsbo, WA - Douglas E. Croft, 66, of Poulsbo, Washington, died Monday July 16, 2007 at the Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, WA after a lengthy illness. He was born November 29, 1940 in Rosiclare, Illinois , the son of Douglas D. and Irene Amsden Croft. He was a US Veteran having served in the US Navy. He married Esther L. Weigel on March 1, 1964 in Hanford California. He was employed with FMC as a mechanic for 36 ½ years and retired in April of 2003. Douglas was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Rock Springs. His interests were his grandchildren, old cars , playing his guitar, and his buddy, Maggie his dog. Survivors include his wife Esther of Bremerton, WA; one step-mother Buthan Croft; one son, Douglas P. Croft of San Diego, CA; two daughters, Valerie Gelinas and husband Kevin of Green River, Brenda Seal husband Daryn of Poulsbo, WA; one brother, Raymond Croft of Clearfield, UT; three sisters, Sue Houge of Moses Lake, WA, Gretta Lister of Bandera, TX, and Karen Bonomo of Rock Springs; thirteen grandchildren Jeremy and wife Tifany, Dustin and wife Aarika, Aaron, Blake, Mark, Savannha, Nicole , Raychell, Darren, Greg, Ashleigh, Shaughn, and Kyle; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother Irene Croft. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday July 24, 2007, at the First Assembly of God, 2191 Century Blvd, Rock Springs. Rev. Jesse Ybarra will officiate. Friends may call 8 - 9 pm, Monday July 23, 2007,at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church. Interment with military honors will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Rock Springs.
