Edward George Wargo
Green River - Edward George Wargo of Rock Springs, died June 13, 2009 at the Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs where he had been a resident for the last 2 ½ years.
He was born at home in Spangler, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles Wargo Sr. and Martina Kastisak Wargo. He was the sixth of fifteen children.
He was a veteran having served in both the US Army and US Air Force.
During his life, he had been employed as a coal miner, steel mill power house worker, fork lift operator, and a letter carrier for more than 30 years. He was very active in the National Association of Letter Carriers.
After retirement, he moved with his wife Wanda from Michigan to Wyoming to be near their only grandchildren.
His interests were dancing, gardening, playing cards, camping and rock hunting. He was an accomplished silversmith and did beautiful lapidary work. He won several awards for his jewelry and lapidary butterflies.
Survivors include his son Gordon Wargo and wife Rosemary of Howell, Michigan; daughter, Susan Hutchinson and husband David of Green River; granddaughters, Amanda Hutchinson of Beaverton, Oregon, and Michelle Hutchinson of Green River; 3 sisters, 6 brothers, 1 brother-in-law, 6 sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, parents, Charles Sr. and Martina Wargo, one sister, 4 brothers, 3 sister-in laws, 1 brother-in-law, and several nephews.
Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
No services will be held.
