Eleanor Evers

March 9, 1938 — August 10, 2013

Eleanor Sophie Evers Rock Springs - Eleanor Sophie Evers, 75, a lifelong resident of Rock Springs, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness from heart disease. She was born March 9, 1938 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Mike Evans and Lillian Bastalich Evans. She attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School. She married Edward Evers February 18, 1972 and with her marriage, she became an instant mother to Ed’s 12 year old son Mark Evers. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her interests were her religion, family, and friends. She was an accomplished artist/painter and was self taught reading and speaking French. She loved to read and work in her yard before her health problems. She was an lifelong animal lover of her pets and took very good care of them all throughout her lifetime. She was a caregiver to her husband and mother during their lengthy illnesses. Survivors include her son Mark E. Evers of Riverton, Wyoming; nephew (her brother’s only son) Larry Macy and wife Linda of Colorado; two great nieces and two great-great nieces of Colorado; and (my angel on earth) dear friend Esther Brandt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Lillian Evans, brother Michael John (Mick) Evans, and husband Edward Evers. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. At her request, there will be no services.
