Elizabeth "Beth" Green

January 1, 1753 — July 23, 2012

Elizabeth “Betty” Green Rock Springs - Elizabeth “Betty” Green passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at Castle Rock Convalescent Center surrounded by the love and prayers of her family near and far. A resident of Rock Springs for the past six years and former resident of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Green died from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. The disease never took away her pleasant spirit, her energy to keep going, or her beautiful smile. Born in Pennsylvania in 1927, Betty was the daughter of Michael and Anna. She attended schools in Pennsylvania where she focused on business and being a baton twirling majorette. She married her high school sweetheart, Dan, in 1944. Mrs. Green worked in payroll and accounting throughout her career. Her favorite jobs were for a local NBC affiliate and a performing arts center, where she interacted with stage, screen and TV performers and personalities. She also participated in the family wholesale business and did private accounting for several private and non-profit associations. During her lifetime Betty enjoyed being with her immediate and extended family, ice skating well into her 70’s, national and international traveling, the beach, shopping, and acquiring high heeled shoes, unique clothing and many, many other collections. Her life was enriched by nieces and nephews who cared for her, cooked for her, visited, transported her and kept her on her toes and laughing. Her “daughter in spirit”, Kathy, was always a welcomed addition to the family. In her later years, Betty’s quality of life was the better for her faithful and untiring Senior Companion, Ethel Nauman of Rock Springs, who kept her on the go and involved in our community as long as possible. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and Young at Heart Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter, Pat and husband Corey of Rock Springs, WY, and three faithful and devoted grandchildren, Sarah and husband Joel of Centerville, UT; Emily and husband, Dustin of Salt Lake City, UT, and Christopher, of Ogden UT. She is also survived by her sister, Marie and husband, Norb of PA and their 10 caring children; sisters-in-law, Marion and Nancy and their children; and special nieces now in NY and Louisiana, and several other nieces and nephews around the country. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; her sons, Michael and Daniel parents, brothers, Joseph, Mickey, and Larry, and sister Aggie. Funeral services in will be held in Pensylvania.
