Elizabeth B. “Liz” Smith Rock Springs - Elizabeth B. “Liz” Smith, 88, of Rock Springs died Friday March 22, 2013 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County following a lengthy illness. She was born April 17,1924 in Estelline, South Dakota the daughter of Charles Erickson and Daisy Jennings Erickson. She attended school in Hendricks, Minnesota and graduated with the class of 1941. She worked in retail sales and retired in 1995 from Albertson’s where she was fondly referred to as “The French Bread Lady”. Her interests included sewing, baking, playing Bingo. fishing, camping, church activities and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children Wayne Koerner and wife Nancy, Deanna Lawrence Moser and husband Jim, Becky Helekahi and companion Don Aken, John Peskey and wife Vickie; 14 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Daisy Erickson; two son's, Michael C. Koerner and Lester “Les” Bulen; two grandsons, Donald E. Aken Jr. and Jacob “Jake” Aken; and one great-great-grandson Patrick Stormberg. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Restoration Ministries, 518 Elk St., Rock Springs.
