Ellen Snell

Ellen Snell Ft. Bridger - Ellen Snell, 87 of Fort. Bridger, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the South Lincoln Medical Center in Kemmerer, WY. She was born May 16, 1922 in Urie, WY, the daughter of Elmer and Minnie Dansie Arthur, and was raised in Fort Bridger, WY. She was married January 12, 1941 to Orville Snell where they started their lives in Story, WY. They farmed and operated a mink ranch for many years with their three children. She later moved back to her hometown of Fort Bridger after her husband passed away to be closer to family. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting and quilting. Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Snell of Fort Bridger, and Barbara Snell of Evanston; one son, Dale Snell and wife Venlissa of Theodosia, MO; two brothers, Ramon Arthur and wife Sue of Fort Bridger and Lewis Arthur of Las Vegas; one sister, Dora Owens of Ogden, UT; one grandson Terry Strang; many nieces and nephews and her family at the South Lincoln Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville, her parents, two brothers Clarence and James, and one sister Wanda. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 1:00 pm Monday Oct. 12, 2009 at the Fort Bridger Cemetery, Fort Bridger, Wyoming.
