Elsie Alberta Martin Chinton, UT - Elsie Alberta Martin, 90, of Clinton, Utah died Saturday October 12, 2013 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was born August 8, 1923 in Manila, Utah, the daughter of Stephen Douglas Warby and Hannah Mariah Nelson Warby. She attended schools in Manila, McKinnon, and Green River. She married Ervin C. McCune on August 2, 1940 in Manila, Utah. He preceded her in death. She married George W. Martin July 10, 1970 in Fresno, California. He preceded her in death December 15, 2009. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Gloria McCune of Hanford, California; stepson, Frank Martin of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren Lawrence E. McCune of Clinton, Utah, Denise M. Wrey of Pensacola, Florida, and Stephen D. McCune of Hanford, California; great-grandchildren Michael A., Matthew L,. Malissa M,. and Mitchell C. McCune, and Rachel Wrey; half-sisters, Blanche Urwin, Mabel Staton, Ruth Dye, Edith Yendra, Violet Winkley, Mary Lammers; sister Thelma (Tillie) Marshall of Roy, Utah; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ervin C. McCune and George W. Martin; sons Dennis Eugene McCune and Lawrence Ervin McCune; great grandaughter Kaitlyn McCune; brothers Wayne LeRoy Deck, Glenn Leo Warby, Gerald Dean Warby, and infants Marion Warby and Harvey Warby; sister Hannah (Dottie) Bower. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Octover 17, 2013 at the Green River LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 1000 W. 4th N., Green River where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
