Evelyn May Byrne Rock Springs - Evelyn May Byrne, 83, of Rock Springs died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 15, 1924 in Cambridge, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas W. and Sannie Craddock Brugh. She married Art Byrne on May 19, 1977 in Butte, Montana. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2007. Evelyn was employed for many years as a LPN for various nursing homes. Her interests were snowmobiling and spending time with her family. Survivors include sons, Gary W. Persinger and wife Barbara, and Timothy J. Persinger and wife Kathy all of Rock Springs, Lawrence W. Persinger of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-daughters, Pat Shurtliff of Helena, Montana, Jackie Shreve of Butte, Montana, Michele White and husband Larky of Butte, Kathy DeLaurentis and husband Tom of Rock Springs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson; a special friend, Audrey Zapata of Helena, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Myrtel Sweeny and Grace Woods, and parents Thomas and Sannie Brugh. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, where friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Friends and family may also call 10 a.m. until 12:00 noon Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home, 1800 Florence Ave., Butte, Montana. Interment will be Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Butte, Montana.
