Frances Ann Luck

Frances Ann Luck, age 85, was blessed in her passing on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in St. George, Utah. She was a patient at Dixie Regional Medical Center and Red Cliffs Regional Rehab Center. Frances was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming she lived there for 80 years until moving to Mesquite, NV where she lived for the past 5 years with her 2 daughters Jo Ann and Laureen and granddaughter, Deanna. She was born on February 23, 1922 to Yugoslavian immigrants Joseph and Mary Marcina. Frances was the youngest of 4 children she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Luck, their son Paul, parents Joseph and Mary Marcina, brother Joey, sisters Anna and Angela Marcina and Mary Reiter. In 1939 Frances married Joseph Luck of Vernal, Utah. Her four children that survived her are JoAnn Luck-Johnson, Laureen Luck of Mesquite, NV, Kent Luck of Burbank, CA and Michael Luck of Anchorage, AK. Her two grandchildren Deanna Johnson and Cheryl Pajak of Minneapolis, MN and one great grandchild Jennifer and two great, great grandchildren Connor and Kennedy of Minneapolis, MN. Frances loved and enjoyed people, she was quick to form lasting friendships. Many of her friends in Mesquite called her "sunshine" or "mama" and her smile and sense of humor made a lasting impression on everybody she met. She was a member of La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mesquite, NV and Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Rock Springs, WY. Frances was a member and past president of Saint Monica’s sodality in Rock Springs. WY After cremation Memorial services will be held at the La Virgen De Guadalupe Chapel at Mesquite Boulevard Plaza, Mesquite, NV on July 5, 2007. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial and a luncheon will be held in Rock Springs, WY to be at a later date. Friends are invited to attend the services to “celebrate” Frances’ life in Mesquite. Donations may be made in Frances behalf to the family at Mountain America Credit Union, Mesquite NV. Condolences may be sent to the family at 873 Sage Dell Road, Mesquite NV 89027.
