Green River, WY - Frank John Bertot, 80, of Green River, died January 31, 2007 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 16, 1926 in Helper, Utah, the son of John and Josephine Buffo Bertot. He attended schools in Helper and Price, Utah and graduated from Price High School with the class of 1944. He also attended an aircraft mechanic technical school in California.
Frank served in the US Navy during the end of WWII. He married Irene Dalton on September 3, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They divorced after 40 years of marriage.
He was employed with Stauffer Chemical for many years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Green River.
His interests were golfing, painting, woodworking, cooking, and his grandchildren.
Survivors include five daughters, Charisse Upshaw of Denver, Colorado, Cindy Wickham and husband Mike, Fran Romango and husband Mike, all of Green River, Lori Bertot of Rock Springs, and Lisa Foutz and husband Kenny of Salt Lake City, Utah; four sisters, Lena Rados and husband Louie, Emma Harmon, and Bea Kounalis all of Roseville, California, Rosalie Christensen and husband Ray of Price, Utah; 7 grandchildren, Chasity, Jon, Russell, Ashley, Keirsta, Mallorie and Lily; one great granddaughter, Estrella; numerous cousins in Italy, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law Karl Harmon and Otis Kounalis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 900 Hitching Post Dr., Green River where friends may call 4:00 -6:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2007 at the church.
Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
