Gary Brashier

Rock Springs – Gary Wayne Brashier, 47, of Rock Springs died Thursday, March 2, 2006 at his home after a lengthy illness. Gary was born June 1, 1958 in Ada, Oklahoma, the son of Espen Nathan and Mona Sue Bell Brashier. He attended schools in Wickenburg, Arizona and graduated from Wickenburg High School with the class of 1976. He also attended Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs. Gary was a veteran having served in the US Army. On January 29, 1982, he married Tammy Lynn Bell in Superior, Wyoming. They were later divorced. He married Rae Dell Welty on June 30, 1989 in Green River, Wyoming. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Rae Dell Brashier of Rock Springs; parents of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; three sons, Dwayne Espen Brashier, Edward Samuel Brashier, and William Ray Brashier all of Rock Springs; one daughter, Patricia Renee Olson and husband Ryan of Rock Springs; two brothers, Robert Espen Brashier and wife Deborah of Gena, Oklahoma, and Larry Dean Brashier and wife Deborah of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; one sister Darla Susie Redmond and husband Claudius of Happy Land, Oklahoma; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nathan and Nevada Brashier and Lando and Iva Bell. Graveside services with military honors and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2006 at Riverview Cemetery, Green River. Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs, funeral directors.
