Gary A. Stewart
Rock Springs - Gary A. Stewart, 69, of Rock Springs died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born September 9, 1939 in Lyman, Wyoming, the son of James Alvin and Wilda Eulalia Thompson Stewart. He attended schools in Lyman and graduated from Lyman High School with the class of 1957.
Gary married Jaclyn F. Lillibridge July 7, 1960 in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
He had been employed by M & G Transfer and Talco Trucking in Rock Springs until his retirement in 2000.
He had been a member of the Elks B P O Lodge No. 624 in Rock Springs.
His interests were motorcycling and snowmobiling when he was younger and pinochle at the Young At Hearts Senior Center until he was unable due to his health.
Survivors include his wife, Jaclyn F. Stewart of Rock Springs; son, Gary Alvin Stewart, Jr. of Rock Springs; daughters, Connie F. Uranker and husband Jerry, and Mary E. Stewart all of Rock Springs; brothers, Owen Stewart and wife Sylvia of Homedale, Idaho, and Basil E. Stewart and wife Wanda of Evanston;
sister, Lois Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christopher and Shanaye Stewart, Joshua and Tiffany Uranker; great-grandchildren, Malyki Uranker, Alaina and Ayden Stewart; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother George Stewart, sisters Olive Taylor and Geneal Hamblin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs where friends may call 6-8 pm Friday February 27, 2009 and Saturday one hour prior to services.
Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory.
