George Sample

George Alden Sample Eden – George Alden Sample, 65, of Eden, Wyoming, died November 9, 2005 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was born January 6, 1940 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the son of Jason William and Mina Elizabeth Hanna Sample. He attended schools in Texas, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and Montana. He graduated from Price High School in Price, Utah with the class of 1958. He attended Alaska Methodist University in Alaska, and Steven F. Austin College in Nacogdoches, Texas. He married Connie Hullinger in 1964. They were later divorced. On September 2, 1990 he married Sharron Sue Chidester in Elko, Nevada. He spent many years working in the oilfields in Peak, Alaska with Kodiak Oil as a field hauler. He also worked for Talco and Hemphill Oil Companies in Rock Springs, Dalgarno and Bowen Oil Companies in Casper. He presently was self employed doing pilot car services. He served his country in the Federal Reserves from 1958-1968. He was a member of local Union 959 Teamsters. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. His interests included hunting, fishing, traveling, and photography. Survivors include his wife, Sharron Sample of Eden; mother, Mina Sample of Nacogdoches, Texas; five sons, Charles Alden Sample and wife Madelene of Casper, Clinton Bennett Sample and wife Vicki of Casper, Casey Chad Sample of Casper, James Glen Clerico and wife Christina of Walsport, Oregon, and William Jack Clerico of Logan Utah; two daughters, Loretta Gull and husband Darrel and Cheryl Mears and husband Rory all of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother, Jason Daniel Sample and wife Chris of Rock Springs; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jason William Sample and one son, Ted Clerico. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Eden Valley Cemetery in Farson, Wyoming. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2005 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs.
